She’s officially a toddler now

The Bug went running down the hall a second ago. I walked over and swooped her up - she’s so cute couldn’t resist.

Lifted a few inches off the ground, she kicked her legs as if she was still trying to walk.

She’s a toddler. And she can’t be stopped.

Oh boy, here comes childproofing

I briefly got started childproofing a few weeks ago. I put out a bunch of the cheapie plug covers and spent about an hour rearranging a stereo to get it higher (then it broke, but that’s another story). But this weekend comes the real fun: buying baby gates and attaching bookshelves to the walls. And then there’s the toilet lock. I hadn’t even thought we were going to be using one, but Katie is very pro. This shall be a challenge.

Also, I’m thinking about replacing the cheapie plug covers with nicer ones that won’t end up all over the place. I have a feeling that with five non-toddlers in the house, we’re going to have real difficulty keeping our childproofing methods in place.
