Does this make me a bad parent?

Last night, we took the fam to a friends’ house for a birthday party. It was a pool party - obviously outdoors. And I think everyone had a good time.

But this morning, I noticed that the Bug has two big bug bites on her face. Does it make me a bad parent that I didn’t notice the critters snacking on my girl’s face, or is it just a sign that I didn’t spend the whole evening staring into her beautiful blues?

It’s ninety degrees on my front porch

I can’t fathom what people like about this weather. It’s unbearably hot out there. Just stepping outside saps every bit of energy I have.

The only thing I have energy for is sitting on the couch.

Ugh.
