I’ve been picking good movies lately, and I had to share
This is completely random, I know, but I’ve stumbled across a few really good movies lately, and I had to share.
- Wristcutters – A Love Story (complete with a totally awesome Tom Waits bit)
- Burn After Reading
- Ghost Town
- Committed
I’m not even going to try to do a review on any of these movies or try to convince you to watch them. I’m just psyched that I’ve stumbled across such good movies lately, and I had to share!
How much do you spend on Netflix?
This is a really cool site, via lifehacker, that says how much you pay per movie in your Netflix subscription.
I’ve been better about Netflix before, but lately I’ve been slacking off (and it didn’t help that someone in my house opened up the movie I stuck in the outgoing mail pile yesterday, so I’ll end up having it all week before I can send it back with another movie).
Apparently, I’m currently paying $3.96 per movie. Yikes! I’ve got to do better about sending movies back.
What’s your turnover time?
Deep, philosophical question
Somebody tell me something. Why is it that I’m watching Training Day on tv right now? And I really like this movie, which is why I have a copy of it on DVD. But that’s the thing…. I am sitting here watching it on cable television – complete with lame edits – but I have no interest in putting in the disc and watching the real movie.
What’s the deal with that? Do they have some sort of subliminal something going on that makes me watch it on tv when I have no desire to watch it on disc?
How could I have never seen this movie before?
I’m just watching Flash Gordon for the first time. Dunno how I’ve missed it ’til now.
It’s awesome.
Disappointment
Was anybody else disappointed tonight to find the Rudolph movie following the other Christmas classics to be not this great one with Burl Ives but this terrible one with Rick Moranis?
