I don’t know how Katie does it
Today, Katie had to be at work at 5 am. FIVE. Me, I was still deeply asleep and really had to shake myself out of it to care for the baby, who didn’t like her mother’s departure.
I talked to Katie a few minutes ago, and she was still at work, awaiting relief. She sounded like she was starting to get delirious, and I can’t imagine it otherwise. I eventually got up at 5:30 this morning, although I didn’t have to be at work until 8. And I’m so sleepy I can hardly see straight.
Katie, you impress me.
After the Bug got up for the day, earlier than usual, I had to get ready for work while getting her ready for her day in addition to taking care of the puppy and getting H to school on time. I did it all and came out okay, including my now fifty minute commute, but I sure wouldn’t want to make a habit of it.
The one thing I had to let slide this morning (other than the dishes - I’m still in denial) was the dogs. They did get fed and watered, but they were barking at something for at least an hour, and I simply had no way to remedy the situation. I hope my neighbors will forgive me.
