Where I’m eating supper tonight

We’re all going out to supper tonight here, Gunthor’s Galley. It’s going to be a kind of birthday dinner for Katie and my sister-in-law C.

I’m quite curious about this place. All of the reviews I read spoke only in superlatives - making me wonder how the restaurant could be located at East Town, of all places - and the menu looks pretty neat.

Even though I’ve never been a huge fan of fish, I know I’ll have trouble deciding what to eat. Will it be the blackened salmon or mahi? or perhaps a seared ahi tuna? Or one of those options as a sandwich? And fried catfish is always compelling, too.

Mm. I’m getting hungry already. And what a week; Katie and I have only eaten at home one day this week.

Bring on the grease!

On most work days, I eat a baked potato for lunch. Often I have some green beans to go with it. It’s a pretty dern healthy meal, as these things go, and it’s lacking enough in calories that I’m usually quite hungry by quitting time. 

But the baked potato doesn’t always satisfy. I guess you’d call it a fairly bland meal. At the moment, I am absolutely craving something unhealthy. It’s a good thing the Zaxby’s hasn’t reopened yet, but right now I’d settle for a Big Mac.

My car still smells like pizza

We had some guests over for supper last night, and we dined on pizza from our favorite neighborhood pizza joint (Harby’s). I was the lucky guy to get to go out and pick up the pies, and I just noticed that my car still smells like pizza. Weird, but although it’s making me crave pizza for supper, I’m going to resist and make wings. It is Friday, after all, even if I do have to work tomorrow.
