Cuteness abounds
C went down for her nap an hour and a half ago. I have the monitor on my desk, and she is now chatting and singing to herself, much like she occasionally does in the middle of the night. I assume that means she’ll be ready to get up soon, but I’m not going in there as long as she sounds happy.
She definitely sounds cute.
Oh sure, now she sleeps
About once every few days - and two days in a row this week - the Bug has not napped well at work. And usually when this happens - like today - she falls asleep in the car on the way home.
So here I am in my driveway, knowing that C really needs to sleep, but needing more myself to get out of the car and get in the house.
Fun stuff.
She is pretty cute, though, sleeping right behind me, her chin covered on the milk she was drinking when sleep took her.
And she sleeps!
I keep thinking C will one day sleep through the night. Just one day. I haven’t held out much hope that she’ll start sleeping through the night every night, but it just seemed like sooner or later it would happen at least once - even if only by chance.
Well, last night was the night. C is just over thirteen months old, and for the first time ever in her life, she slept through the night.
She was down at nine o’clock. At one, I thought “wow, she’s still asleep.” At three and four, I thought “wow, she’s still asleep.” At five, I could hardly get back to sleep, I was so excited.
Maybe next time - three or four months from now, I’m sure - I’ll actually benefit from her sleeping through the night. What are my chances?
Changes in babysleep
I love how babies start their lives sleeping only on their backs, but by a year they sleep like “big” kids.
I just snuck a peak at my baby girl, and she was flipping over and rearranging herself, deeply asleep but clearly trying to get more comfortable.
Super cute.
