Deep, philosophical question

October 5th, 2008, at 10:04 PM

Somebody tell me something. Why is it that I’m watching Training Day on tv right now? And I really like this movie, which is why I have a copy of it on DVD. But that’s the thing…. I am sitting here watching it on cable television - complete with lame edits - but I have no interest in putting in the disc and watching the real movie.

What’s the deal with that? Do they have some sort of subliminal something going on that makes me watch it on tv when I have no desire to watch it on disc?

  1. Meredith says:

My mother and I discussed this frequently. She said that it didn’t matter how many times she’d seen “Sixteen Candles” or “Ferris Bueller” (or that we owned both), if it came on USA or TBS, she’d watch it.

Some movies are just like that. I don’t know why.
