My new schedule
April 9, 2008 ·
Get up at 5:45. Get to work around 8. Work, work, work. Leave work at 5. Play with puppy for 15-20 minutes. Paint until dark. Find something to eat. Read for 10-15 minutes. Play with puppy some more. Sleep. Get up at 5:45….

that sounds pretty damn awful
Oh, it’s just terrible.
(especially the puppy part.)
Off topic tax question if you please:
When one relocates for employment, you can claim that right?
What if the move is covered ie by “expensing” it to the new co? meaning, you dont really spend any money….
Can you still claim the move?
Thanks Jon…
Technically, you claim moving expenses if you relocate for a job (vs just because you want to and you’re hoping to find a job when you get there). But the new job has to be at least 50 miles farther from your old residence than from your new, if that makes sense. (So you can’t just move across town - you have to move to another city, pretty much.)
But if the new company covered it, then no, you can’t deduct it, too, although that’d be nice.
But luckily, it’s also not considered income to you; it wouldn’t be terribly surprising if they’d set it up that way.
ok good. thanks for the info
we are leaving “the oc” for portland or.
eric got a much better job.
we will be able to actually buy a house.
that would never happen here.
i am so stoked!
Oh, I’m so jealous! I love the pacific northwest, and I was just reflecting a few days ago on how nice it’d be to live in Portland.
We almost moved to NC…but they hired someone within the co… Guess what co?
