Proud daddy
Katie took C to the doctor today, with cold-like symptoms. She was wheezing heavily, coughing, and sneezing. And Katie thought she was running a fever. It seemed best to be safe.
Well, the doctor looked at our little girl and ran some tests. At first he thought it was a pretty serious virus, but the tests came back negative: C has the common cold, and there’s nothing to do but give it a few days.
But the doctor also said that C is one of the best-natured people he’s ever met. Despite having issues just getting air in and out - I guess babies can’t just clear their throats when they need to - she spent her time in his office laughing and smiling. Apparently she tried her best to chew on his fingers and was intent on eating his stethoscope.
What can I say? When Katie related that story to me, I beamed with pride and told everyone in earshot how great our happy baby is.
Proud daddy.

I always get worried when my kids get sick, but am also so happy to hear a doctor say something nice! When our littlest was a few days old the pediatrician said she had “awesome” muscle tone. I think I will love her forever for that compliment!
