   We have a fair weather chimney. When it’s nice outside, or at least not rainy, the chimney works fine. When it rains, the smoke doesn’t want to go outside either. Sucks.

   Seems like you could probably get it fixed. Having a chimney on a cold, wet day sure is wonderful (and a relatively cheap way to warm a few rooms).

   ah…i too am looking forward to fireplace weather, but alas, with all the wildfires that we had ( some are still burning)_ i have had my faire share of smoke and ash…
