Whom do you google?
July 26, 2007 ·
Last week, Katie and I got into a discussion about exes, and I spent ten minutes googling a few of mine. I have also googled approximately one person I went to college with, with no success. I’ve never thought to look up anyone from high school, but a friend sent me a link a while back to the blog of a high school acquaintance.
That makes one person in my feed reader who I knew in a past life. I wish I had more friends or former friends with blogs, but I rarely even bother looking people up.
Who do you google?

wouldn’t that be WHOM do you google?
Why yes, Kate. Yes it would.
When I was on Yahoo Personals, I always Googled my date before I met him. Found some interesting stuff (none of it bad)!
I think the ability to look up old boyfriends/girlfriends is really interesting. I know at least one marriage that ended when a husband googled his old high school girlfriend and ended up hooking up with her.
I’ve googled friends, parents, exes, currents, B’s parents, coworkers, you name it. (Although B is the only person I’ve ever met that if you google him with “”, absolutely NOTHING comes up.) Maybe he doesn’t exist, Jon!
Oh, and myself, of course!
Katie told me once that she googled me before we met in person and she couldn’t find a single thing. For some reason, you still can’t do a google image search and find me. Obviously I’m easy to find in text searches now, though.
Well he has a first name with a not-so-common spelling and a unique last name so its pretty rare. If you spell his name the common way, you do get some others, though.
I can’t imagine there are NO jon hickmans around. Thats just crazy. There’s one right around the corner from me. (hehe. I’m so funny)
speaking of ex’es, are you going to drop “Grandju” and go with Allison Hickman?
