No fan of seclusion

I’m a front porch kind of guy.
We have a really neat yard for living in the city. Our front yard is very public; the yard itself is small enough to mow in about five minutes, and the porch is a great place to hang out and wave to neighbors walking down the street.
Our back yard, on the other hand, is very secluded. It’s wooded and goes down to a creek and a city park. If you sit on our back deck, you have almost complete privacy, or you can sit by the creek and be virtually assured that you’ll only be visited by mosquitoes.
And I have discovered that I have no desire to be in our back yard. I simply don’t like being that far removed from the hum of life.
